I went to my midwife today and am already at a 2 - sorry dad, didn't mean to make you gag - which is good, I've progressed a bit since my last appointment. I just have to say what a POSITIVE experience I have had with my midwife. She has been very open with me and answered all of my questions without making me feel like a paranoid pregnant lady - which I am, I'm pretty sure 99% of pregnant girls are - but don't you just hate it when your doc is condescending to you when you ask about being induced, etc? I mentioned to her today that I would prefer to be induced if Livvy doesn't come on her own by 39 weeks mostly for Jer's work schedule and she called the hospital right away and we are set to be induced on JUNE 3RD. Yay! That is so soon, but still far enough away that I feel that I can get all the things done I need to before she gets here. Enough of the baby news, let's move on to my hormones.....
So, of course I have been crying a lot since I have been pregnant - to be fair, I cried a lot before I was pregnant and can say with the utmost certainty that I will be crying a lot after Livvy gets here. It doesn't help that I rent movies like P.S. I love you, Dan in Real Life, etc. I personally don't think the crying is that big of deal, however, the "new" me, the MEAN me, is a bit of a problem. The last few days I have noticed that not only do things bother me - lots of things always do and I pride myself of letting things go, not taking it personally, etc. - but these things are making me MAD. I took the girls to McDonald's yesterday for lunch and it was a little busy so they went and found us a table and put their jackets there. So they go and play and I am standing in line in back of people that have apparently never been to a McDonald's and need to order for 10 people and they can't understand the person taking their order, and...wait, I digress - so I glance at the play area to make sure that the girls are okay and this group of young moms with their kids go to sit down at one of the table by mine - a big one that would fit all of them perfectly and then decide they want to sit at two booths instead and this lady walks over to the girls jackets and tosses them on a random table. I stood their with my mouth hanging open just staring at her and was about 5 seconds from yelling at her when Whit came up and asked about her food - thank goodness. This may not seem like a big deal - but it is a very big deal for me because I HATE confrontation. So, we sit down to eat our food and have eaten maybe 1/2 of our lunch when the girls go back to play on the playground and I of course have to use the bathroom - so all of our food is spread out on the table, 1/2 eaten, no question that someone is sitting there and is NOT finished eating, and I go to the bathroom, walk back to the table and this lady is asking the table next to mine if someone is sitting at my table. I couldn't help but wonder if this person leaves her food all over the table when she is done at McDonald's and thinks that people will just clean up after her - anyway, I told her I was sitting there and she kind of glared at me and I kind of wanted to give her a smack but I restrained myself and sat down to finish eating. By this point I'm pretty much convinced that all people are stupid, etc., etc., and all of a sudden a pair of pants and a shirt come down the slide without an occupant. It was the ladies little boy - stripped down to his superman underwear and sent the rest of his clothes down the slide. She stood up and screamed "JAAAASON, get down here right now!" He came down the slide in his skivvy's with a smile so big and giggling the whole way down that I couldn't help but think how fair life is. There were some other incidents today at Walmart and trying to get the girls signed up for swim lessons that I will not go into.....I am not a mean person, I am not a mean person, I am not a mean person.
