Water Fun

So, the twins had their first swimming lessons - the class was two weeks long and they were in the beginning class - their next class starts on July 27th and will finish up the Friday before school starts. I tried to get some pictures of them during class and they ended up looking like a picture I scanned from the 80's.

However I did get some cute pics of Livvy - I just put her in her suit and let her splash around in the play area while the twins are in class.





Last Thursday we took a quick trip up to Sedona - Jeremy had been told by some people at the hospital that we needed to go to a place called Slide Rock. We didn't realize it was such a big deal....that's why none of us are in our swimming suits - we just threw on some grubbies because we thought it would be a quick slide down some rock - but this is what we found:




We spent a good three hours there and had so much fun. We can't wait to go again. The baby just liked sitting on one of the rocks or Jeremy's lap and watch what was going on. The twins had fun exploring and I am slightly amazed at Whitney - she is turning into a little athlete right before our eyes...Gracie is a bit more reserved and hesitant but ultimately ends up right there with Whit.





Olivia/Livvy/Bubby/Puppy has been getting cuter and cuter every day, and along with the cuteness is the inevitable trouble - they need to balance each other out.... These are the goggles I had bought for the kids for swimming lessons - they were way too small so we decided to put them on Puppy and she loved them - it gave us a good laugh.


I think I commented on my last post that I wouldn't be posting any pictures of my pantry, but here it is. It seems like Livvy is almost waiting for me to open the pantry door so she can go in. The other day she grabbed an open bag of coconut, held it by the bottom and took off running - my kitchen floor looked like it had just snowed. She also took a bite out of one of the potatoes you can see on the bottom shelf through the plastic bag they are in. She usually goes in there and grabs a can of my diet pepsi and rolls it around.



And last, but not least, this is my sweet Puppy taking all of the wipes out of the holder I had just filled up. I was in my bedroom and suddenly realized she was being too quiet.




And that's our week - we are looking forward to our trip to Utah on Friday. We can't wait to see my family - especially Jeff & Ashley who we haven't seen since the wedding!

What We've Been Up To.....

About 3 weeks ago we decided to take the kids hiking up in Granite Basin......we mapped out the hike and figured it was around 3 miles which was totally doable. 5 miles and 3 1/2 hours later we were kissing our car and the kids finally stopped crying. To be fair they did REALLY well until the last mile. We are still loving our little hiking trips once or twice a week.



Livvy has perfected the art of smearing her food around her face and really getting it in her hair. I cringe every time I hand her pb & j for lunch because I just know this is what we are going to get:



Our little Puppy also loves climbing in the cabinets underneath our kitchen sink. The garbage can spends a lot of time on the counter or in the pantry. We have bought the safety latches but have yet to install them.



Jeff, Melinda and their kids made the trek over from Las Vegas to celebrate the 4th of July. We took them to our favorite hiking spot Friday morning and had lots of fun and plenty of giggles as we scaled the Dells....Jeff made us a little nervous with the combination of his climbing skills and the fact that he was carrying Zackie on his back. Towards the end of the hike it started to rain and it felt SO good.



Saturday morning we attended the LONGEST parade in the history of parades. And it wasn't much fun because it was mostly made up of horses, cars and lots of older women dressed up like pioneer day hookers. The highlight of the parade was when Senator McCain walked right by us - Melinda shook his hand and I got an awesome picture. The twins were extremely good and such good sports considering we got to the parade around 8 a.m. and didn't leave until close to noon. And little Puppy sat in her stroller the entire time and was SO good.










The twins and Brady participated in our 4-ward kid parade Saturday night. We decorated their scooter and they looked so cute. It made me realize that the twins have kind of outgrown the scooters - they need some taller models.....Whitney was one of the first ones in the parade and when Sister Stearns told them to start it was like she was in a race - she just took off and went super fast....it gave me and Jer a good chuckle. Gracie, of course, waited her turn and went at a normal, non-race pace. After the parade we ate dinner with the other wards and waited for the fireworks. The fireworks were AWESOME!!! Honestly the best ones I have seen in a long time and we had a perfect view from the lawn of the church.





P.S. I really miss St. Anthony but I have to say that Prescott Valley/Prescott really suits me. I really like it here and am excited for this next chapter in our lives.
