Update......

Has anyone noticed that I really like to do this: ....... on both of my blogs - I'm not quite sure why I do it so much, but it's probably not going to stop anytime soon, so.......

I thought I would do a quick update since my last post was before Thanksgiving and Christmas is about a week away. We went to Aztec, NM for Thanksgiving this year - Jer's sister and her family live there and we had SO much fun - except for the drive over there and the drive back (3 kids, 1 dad, enough said). On our way to Aztec Jeremy and I got a really good idea and decided to stop at the 4 corners - we had no idea how much time it would add to our trip, but hey, it would be worth it, right? It is supposed to take us around 5 1/2 to 6 hours to get to Jodie and Randy's. With all of the bathroom stops (okay, most of them were for me) and our super fun stop at 4 corners.......it took us a grand total of 9 hours to get there. Holy Cow!!!!! The BEST part of our stop at 4 corners was that Jeremy decided to buy us some fry bread, which in and of itself isn't so bad, except the twins wanted POWDERED SUGAR on theirs and we had to eat it in the car - and then they decided they didn't want the one with powdered sugar, they wanted the one with cheese Jeremy had got for us, so he ended up eating the sugar one and this is what happened:

The WORST part of our stop at 4 corners has already been told to those of you who are close enough to me to know........moving on.

Olivia is in love with dogs - so imagine how dang happy she was when she got to meet Max.

He was the object of her affection all weekend - that and a candle Jodie had on her end table that Livvy would carry around and lick.

On Thanksgiving Day we were all relaxing, talking, laughing in the kitchen when the doorbell rang and a very large, scarey looking man stood on the doorstep holding OLIVIA......it was the neighbor down the street and he decided he should walk up here with her because she had walked in her bare feet down the street and he decided to save her from getting hit by a car or something silly like that - WORST feeling in the world, Jeremy really got a kick out of giving me a hard time about it......

We really had a great weekend - loved the Black Friday shopping, eating at the Diner and going to the movies with Jodie and Randy on Saturday. The twins had a blast playing with their cousin Skylar and can't wait to see her again!

Our Christmas tree this year is really about the saddest thing - it's prelit, which is great, but not so great when there are shorts in the lights and we can't figure out which ones, so there are just patches of the tree that are lightless - it looks striped when we turn out the lights. Livvy decided that she would strap on the ole goggles to help us decorate - I'm not kidding, this kid loves to wear those things.

We took the kids to a parade of lights on December 4th and it was fun but pretty cold. Then the next day there was a Christmas parade in Prescott which was 1000 times better than their 4th of July parade. We had a great time - even though it was a bit nippy.

I also made these one night - SO good and SO easy. A new family favorite.

The twins go on their Christmas Break starting next Monday and I'm very excited to have them home for the next 2 weeks - we are all looking forward to the holidays and hope the time doesn't go by too quickly.
