These Past Few Weeks....

Time has just been flying around here! I can't believe we are already at the end of February - and I can actually see the black top on the streets, wahoo! For any of you that have visited us during the winter you know that this is quite a miracle! But as I am typing this huge snowflakes are falling, which is okay with me as long as it doesn't stick. The twins are just enjoying life. They have so much fun at preschool and love to hear their stories about what they learned and their interactions with their friends. Whitney's new favorite thing to do is to make faces while crossing her eyes as evidenced by the pictures to follow. Gracie is still our sweet girl, except when she doesn't want to do something and then watch out. Our favorite thing she says at bedtime (while crying or laying on the ground and kicking her legs) is that she doesn't want to go to sleep because " sleeping is boring ". This girl is all about having fun. Here are some pictures of the girls, all random, all funny (to me anyway): I have been playing around with color, etc. on some of my pictures as you can tell. For Valentine's this year Grandpa Neil sent the girls flowers, they also had chocolate bars in the arrangement and a cute teddy bear hugging the vase. We also celebrated Jeremy's 32nd birthday on the 15th. Every once in a while I'll say "Can I get 3 cheers for the old man?" and the girls will give me a hip-hip-hooray. Here is a picture of the cake I made for him - it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself: Livvy's room is finally painted - yay! Jeremy still has to touch up a little, but we moved that sweet girl into her room and she has been sleeping SO much better. I have also been able to start working on some of the ideas I've had for decorating the twins and Livvy's room. Here is my first completed project: I really like it and the twins are excited for Jeremy to hang it up in their room. We definitely have days that aren't so great around here, it's hard being home with the 3 kids sometimes and I know that sometimes it is hard for them to have to be home with me. This picture speaks volumes as to the kind of day we had been having:

This past week for preschool the girls had a luau - they were very excited because they got to wear their Hawaii t-shirts from Grandma & Grandpa Van Dyke, sunglasses and they brought a beach towel and flip-flops to wear while they were in class. They even got their toes painted a fun shade that definitely made me wish summer was here! My favorite part of getting them ready for that day was their hair. I didn't realize how BeaUtifuL they were going to look! Of course, I'm a little biased, but they loved it and so did I!!

Livvy's other tooth also came in and she looks so cute! Once again, very biased, but my goodness this is one happy baby!

This is what Whitney's hair looked like after she woke up Sunday morning:

And finally, here our sweet little Livvy all decked out before church:

So, this past week Livvy's front top tooth finally came in - she was an unhappy little girl until that happened and now she is back to her sweet self. The same day her tooth grew in, Gracie lost her first tooth! It came as quite a shock to her as well as me. She was eating her turkey sandwich for lunch and just started crying and screaming, I came to see what was wrong and her tooth was gone! Initially I thought it had broken off or that Whitney had hit her in the mouth, but nope, her new tooth is already growing in! And she was most excited that the tooth fairy paid her a visit this week! Livvy has got quite a head of hair - not a ton, but enough to have it look pretty funny after we take off her beanie when we have been outside. Her hair was stellar this day and I wanted to get a good picture of it. On Sunday I got to thinking, if her hair is that long I can probably pull it up in a little elastic and sure enough.... One last thing - isn't she about the cutest thing you've seen????
