I thought I would do a quick update since my last post was before Thanksgiving and Christmas is about a week away. We went to Aztec, NM for Thanksgiving this year - Jer's sister and her family live there and we had SO much fun - except for the drive over there and the drive back
The WORST part of our stop at 4 corners has already been told to those of you who are close enough to me to know........moving on.
Olivia is in love with dogs - so imagine how dang happy she was when she got to meet Max.
He was the object of her affection all weekend - that and a candle Jodie had on her end table that Livvy would carry around and lick.
On Thanksgiving Day we were all relaxing, talking, laughing in the kitchen when the doorbell rang and a very large, scarey looking man stood on the doorstep holding OLIVIA......it was the neighbor down the street and he decided he should walk up here with her because she had walked in her bare feet down the street and he decided to save her from getting hit by a car or something silly like that - WORST feeling in the world, Jeremy really got a kick out of giving me a hard time about it......
We really had a great weekend - loved the Black Friday shopping, eating at the Diner and going to the movies with Jodie and Randy on Saturday. The twins had a blast playing with their cousin Skylar and can't wait to see her again!
Our Christmas tree this year is really about the saddest thing - it's prelit, which is great, but not so great when there are shorts in the lights and we can't figure out which ones, so there are just patches of the tree that are lightless - it looks striped when we turn out the lights. Livvy decided that she would strap on the ole goggles to help us decorate - I'm not kidding, this kid loves to wear those things.
We took the kids to a parade of lights on December 4th and it was fun but pretty cold. Then the next day there was a Christmas parade in Prescott which was 1000 times better than their 4th of July parade. We had a great time - even though it was a bit nippy.
I also made these one night - SO good and SO easy. A new family favorite.
The twins go on their Christmas Break starting next Monday and I'm very excited to have them home for the next 2 weeks - we are all looking forward to the holidays and hope the time doesn't go by too quickly.

Yes, darling, post a recipe or a link to the above dinner, will you? It looks fantastic. Nothing like a baby in goggles to get you into the holiday spirit. I miss you so much! I hope everything keeps going so well, and that Jeremy got that powdered sugar off his face-hawt!
Livvy is so funny! I LOVE the goggles!
Thanks for the update Em! Glad to see you had so much fun at Thanksgiving and it's a good idea you didn't post the worst part of your little road trip ;) I can't wait to make those yummy looking roll ups! Sure love you sister!
I always scroll down and look at the pictures before i start reading, and I saw a picture of that huge dog....and I about died! That thing probably eats like 150 bucks worth of food every week...and what goes in must come out!! AHH! haha miss you guys.
