Fa ra ra ra ra........

I really couldn't think of a title for my post and for some reason the Chinese restaurant scene from The Christmas Story popped into my head.

We have had a busy couple of weeks. Two weekends ago we took the girls up to Lynx Lake - we drove past it in the summer but it was really crowded and we liked our "normal" hiking spot at the Dells. Well, it was NOT crowded this time and it was absolutely gorgeous - it was the 7th of November and 73 degrees:

We decided to do the loop around the lake which ended up being 2.3 miles. It still took us forever and a day because we had to have a snack break: We keep telling the girls that they will be miserable at Disneyland this spring if they are whining about 2 miles - but I highly doubt there will be whining from being tired at the happiest place on earth. We let Livvy out of her backpack for our "break" and she took off up the trail and then ran back down - she is out-of-control crazy busy and it doesn't matter if we are at home or away. At the end of the hike we took the girls down to the water to skip rocks. It doesn't matter how old I am, skipping rocks is always fun.

The girls brought home an assignment over the weekend - they needed to decorate a turkey and bring it back to school on Monday. We had a fun time gluing all the feathers, beans, macaroni, smarties and glitter. The girls were very particular about where they wanted things which I thought was great.

Jeremy gave the girls bunny ears in their picture and they decided to give it a try:

Livvy loves walking around in our shoes - her current favorites are Gracie's crocks.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love staying at home with Livvy?
She is the funniest kid - she has definite opinions about things and isn't afraid to share them. She also isn't afraid to play in the toilet, but that is another post entirely.
