Love This Kid

If you have ever met Gracie you know that she is one of the sweetest, kind-hearted kids you'll have had the pleasure of being around. What you might not know is that she is LOUD. I am talking no concept of whisper or even and inside voice. Most of her talking in our house and in public is in her "outside voice". And when she is playing with Livvy or running around with Whitney she is always yelling - not in a mean way - but in a I-really-want-to-push-mom-over-the-edge way! She does great impressions from the shows we love to watch - is great as Rhino from Bolt - and thinks it's really funny to say things like do-do and poop. Anyway, I guess my point is that with Grace there is a whole lot more than meets the eye. For example, when we first moved to Idaho the twins were around 2 1/2 and we were walking from the parking lot into Walmart, coming out of Walmart were 3 or 4 college boys from BYU and Whitney (of course) with her sunglasses on, says as we're passing "Hi boys!" and Gracie says, without missing a beat "Hi pooper scoopers!" I was laughing SO hard. I guess in preschool on Tuesday they got to play with playdough (which we don't do at our house, I can't stand cleaning it up out of the carpet). The twins told me how much fun it was and we went on with the day. About 3 hours after we had been home Whitney came up to me and said "Mom, Gracie made a butt with her play dough today! And she got in trouble!" Gracie came running up and through gritted teeth yelled "Whitney, I told you not to tell mom about that!" and started crying. I was laughing on the inside but told her we probably shouldn't make butts in school. So yesterday when they were getting out of the car to go to preschool Whitney says" Hey Gracie, lets work on not making butts at school today, okay?" to which Gracie just looked at me and started laughing, slammed the door to the car and ran up the sidewalk, hitching her pants up and yelling "auggghhhhh". Love this kid!

Thanks for the comments! Your girls are getting so big! I remember the twins as being just little babies. It is so fun seeing how grown up they are now! All your girls are so beautiful! And they look so much like both you and Jeremy!

I can't stop laughing, she's hilarious! And whats with kids and poop? Natalie was singing a song about poop in the store and poeple could totally hear what she was singing and she wouldn't stop. All you can do is laugh, even if its on the inside!

You comments about your Gracie remind me so much of my Jess. She has always been very loud and says totally off the wall comments that crack us up. I joke with her all the time that I wish I could reach inside her voice box and turn down the volume. I also joke that all of my gray hair has come from her. You just gotta love them though and their free spirited attitude. I just hope that as a teenager they don't drive us into the ground. LOL

I love that kid too. She is so stinkin sweet. Kinda like sweet and sour with the poop talkin. Ok so I may never eat sweet and sour ever again because talking about it an poop in the same sentence is just wierd, but I do love Gracie she is awsome.
