So.......been a while since I've blogged about our little life here in the big city of Las Vegas. As you can see from the collage (click on it to make the pictures bigger), we've had plenty to do - a trip up to Utah to see Uncle Jamey before he left for Iraq, a quick trip to St. George for the weekend to see my Mom, Melissa & Ivan's family, Aunt Chris and Uncle Les, Jana, Annie & Amber. Gracie was "turtle of the week" in her kindergarten class the first week of March and got to bring in something special each day of the week - on that Monday she got to bring in a poster and paper all about her. Whitney was student of the month for March and we were able to attend her assembly when she received her certificate. The twins are doing SO well in school - I am amazed at their reading, writing and math skills. Gracie learned how to ride her bike without training wheels about 5 weeks ago and loves to zoom around the neighborhood with Whitney and Livvy following on their scooters. We read scriptures with them each night - right now we are reading the Doctorine & Covenants from their childrens editions - and it provides us with many opportunities to giggle (Gracie pronounced Lucy Smith's name as Lucky, Whitney called Parley P. Pratt Parley P. Peter and they both thought Pennsylvania was the funniest word they have ever heard), and a great time for us to teach the girls about the gospel and bear our testimonies of the simple things we know to be true about what we read - I honestly look forward to that time each night. We are now counting down the days until Disneyland - literally, I made the kids a calendar - and can't wait to spend that week with the VanDyke side of the fam. I will be posting more pictures by the end of the week - I think......
